Dodatkowo poza samą obsługą systemu Vista, TeamViewer oferuje możliwość zdalnego kontrolowania aplikacji poprzez Vista Secure Desktop (UAC).

Nowa wersja programu oferuje poprawiony, bardziej czytelny dla użytkownika interfejs. Producent poprawił również wydajność połączenia, dzięki czemu TeamViewer pracuje teraz szybciej i stabilniej. Dużym modyfikacjom zostały poddany QuickSupport, który teraz umożliwia kontakt z klientem bez podawania identyfikatora i hasła oraz opcję, dzięki której przy pierwszym uruchomieniu klient zostanie dodany do listy partnerów. Oprócz tego można ustalić poziom bezpieczeństwa hasła i skonfigurować komunikat powitalny dla klienta, np. zawierający informacje prawne czy regulamin kontaktu. Nowym rozwiązaniem wersji 6 jest dodanie modułu QuickJoin, który umożliwia zaproszenie większej ilości uczestników do prezentacji przed jej rozpoczęciem.
